Scheherazade Merchant, popularly known as Sherry, studied in Mumbai – India passing out of the J. B., Petit High School for Girls, and later graduating from the Sydenham College, in Commerce and simultaneously obtaining her diploma in Interior Design from Sophia College.

She commenced her Interior Design practice, while still in college, which gave her an early start in life.

Within the first ten years of her practice, she began her quest for Feng Shui, Vaastu and all the alternative systems of house arrangement. She came across several teachers until she finally settled down with Master Joey Yap. She is now the sole Representative and only Licensed Instructor for the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics in India, founded by Master Joey Yap.

Apart from Feng Shui, her other specialties are Chinese Astrology ( known as BaZi ), Xuan Kong which is a very advanced form of prediction using the parameters of time and space, Yi Jing, another form of prediction, and Ming Xiang or Face Reading. All these form a part of the broad subject of Chinese Metaphysics.

In 2000 she had to finally abandon her career of Interior Design, and concentrate completely on Feng Shui as she was unable to pursue both careers due to lack of time. She now teaches and consults in India as well as all over the world.
